IMHO, the main issue is to get the geometry of the nozzle inserted into the exhaust stream profiled correctly so that the varying and not-at-all-close-to-zero exhaust pressure doesn't cause the exhaust gases to push into the ccv or otherwise block flow out.

It's a sealed design unlike the Dodge 6.7 ccv where they replace the filter more often. On ours we are supposed to replace that whole box after 100-125k miles or so.
